First gig of the year!

We had our first gig of the year on Saturday night and it went really well. We were responsible for the music throughout the night so met at the studio at 4pm, packed up the instruments, PA and lights and arrived in plenty of time to set-up and test the lights before anyone arrived.

The night was busy with between 150 and 200 people coming to celebrate a 40th Birthday. We played two sets: the first for about 45 minutes with the birthday boy giving a, very good, speech about getting to 40 in the gap, and then another set of about 60 minutes.

It was great to be part of an evening that brought people together and the second set had everyone dancing and singing along. The photo from behind the kit shows people getting ready for the second half.

The highlights would have to be the reaction that 'Living on a prayer' got, being told that we'd made the party unforgettable (in a good way!) and being made to play 2 encores (ok, we didn't take MUCH persuading!)

There was more dancing afterwards as the music pumped through the PA and we left at just after 1am having had a great night. We've got some new tracks lined up for wedding we've got next and after that the Bristol Twestival. All in all it's gonna rock!
